After living in Dallas, Texas and seeing what dog daycare did for his pup, Jesse Coslov returned to Pittsburgh with an idea of what he could bring to dog owners here at home. Jesse contacted his long time family friend and fellow Shadyside Academy alum Chris Kane and soon the wheels were set in motion. The Dog Stop opened its doors in 2009 after Jesse and Chris spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners and planning the all-inclusive facility. Their goal was to create a fun and safe environment where Pittsburgh area pups would love to come and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving.
