What are your boarding requirements?

The safety and health of your pet is our first concern. Our Dog Stop Play/Stay contract includes a personality profile so we can have some basic information about your dog's temperament and match him/her with the right playmates. All boarding dogs who participate in daycare must demonstrate adequate social skills and the ability to play safely. On the first overnight stay at The Dog Stop, we will evaluate your dog's interactions with other guests. If we find your dog isn't daycare friendly, we will place him/her in his/her room/crate for the remainder of the day, except for personal walking sessions. Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet: Bordetella - within the past 6 months Parvovirus & Distemper- within the past 12 months Rabies - proof of valid vaccination with either the shot given annually or every 3 years We also require that your dog be on a regular flea and tick prevention program, such as Frontline or Advantage (not flea powder or collars).

How do I make a reservation?

Call us at 412-DOG-STOP or email to schedule your initial interview and daycare or boarding reservation. If your dog hasn't stayed with us before, you can fill out our enrollment documentation online. Submit the signed paperwork and bring your vaccination records when you drop off your pet to expedite check-in. A deposit of 50% will be due at the time of reservation. Cancellations made fewer than 48 hours prior to drop off will not be refunded.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our non-holiday policy requires 48 hours notice for canceling a boarding reservation and 24 hours notice for daycare. A deposit of 50% will be due at the time of reservation. Cancellations made fewer than 48 hours prior to drop off will not be refunded During busy holiday periods, we require five (5) days notice (and a credit card # will be taken to hold all reservations). If these policies are not met, additional fees may apply.

When can I drop off my pet(s)?

Daycare Hours Mon - Fri 7am to 7pm Sat 10am to 4pm Boarding 365 days a year drop-off and pick-up Mon - Fri 7am to 7pm Sat 10am to 4pm Sundays from 10am to 4pm for boarding drop-off and pick-up The Dog Stop hours of operation will be limited to half days, 7am to 1pm, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. The Dog Stop is closed on all major holidays including but not limited to: New Years Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

When can I pick up my pet(s)?

When and what will my dog(s) be fed?

It is preferred that you prepare your dog's individual meal portions either in labeled ziploc bags or tupperware type containers. In the event food is not provided, they will be provided with Natural Choice dog kibble.

Do you provide treats?

Absolutely. Only the best treats! Overnight guests can add on a frozen woofy for $2.50 (a discounted price from $3.69) or a milkbone or peanut butter-filled Kongs. We believe in having only high quality treats to offer your dog.

May I leave toys or bedding with my dog?

You can, however there is a risk of soiling and we cannot make any guarantees that the items that you bring will be returned. Items must be clearly labeled and cannot have noisemakers in their construction.
