Testimonials

This is a fantastic place to leave your dog and socialize with other dogs. It has even helped with his attitude with people and he is exhausted when he gets home!

Fantastic space, better people! We love the Dog Stop and you will, too. Thanks for being so great all the time.

This is a great place to take your dog - these guys love the dogs at LEAST as much as their owners. I feel really comfortable leaving my pooch in their care.

Takoda

I found the dog stop when I was just driving by, it's hard to miss and very easy to get to. My favorite things about The Dog Stop are it's convenience, located on Washington Blvd, it's only ten minutes from my house and just around the corner from the places I go the most. I can even make it a pit stop on my way to work because it's near Rt 28; but I don't need to, since they offer a "taxi" and will pick him up and drop him off for me. It's affordable, they have the best daycare prices in the Pittsburgh area, and buying packages can make it even more cost friendly. The staff and atmosphere really set the dogs at ease.

My lab, Takoda, was a big scaredy-cat when I first brought him there, a year old with little socialization. But he fell in love with the owners immediately, and never had a problem with any of the other dogs. He gets the attention, time and space he needs to run and play all day. I know it's been a good day for him when he comes home and falls asleep immediately. I am really glad for The Dog Stop, they are very easy to work with, and bring a real neighborhood feel to a busy road.

Thanks guys! You have made his life, and mine so much easier and Takoda couldn't be happier.

Rush

Driving up Washington Boulevard toward the Dog Stop, Rush's tail starts to wag. As soon as I pull into the parking lot and open my car door, he jumps over me and makes his way to the entrance and a full-day of playtime. This is, at least to me, the best evidence that Rush is not only well cared for at the Dog Stop, but loves to come.

Rush arrived in our family last year and since that time we have been bringing him to the Dog Stop for both daycare and boarding. Even if my husband and I didn't both work full-time jobs, we would probably bring Rush just for the socialization and serious play time. Plus, the daycare is pretty affordable compared with other places in town.

When we first got Rush, he was a little skittish. The animal shelter folks told us that he had a rough life before coming to us. Today, he is a completely different dog and we credit that transformation, at least in part, to the Dog Stop and the people that work there.

I don't need a webcam to tell me that my dog is having some seriously fine play time while he's there. I can tell in the afternoons, when I pick him up. He basically gets in the car, lays down, and sleeps the whole way home. The best part about The Dog Stop is that the people who work there actually love dogs.

Case in point: Late last year, we boarded Rush at the Dog Stop while on a family vacation. When we called to check in on him, co-owner Jesse Coslov answered and reported that he and Rush were just "sitting on the couch, watching some football."

That's exactly what he likes to do at home.

Pablo

I can’t thank you enough for the care offered to my best friend Pablo (Don Juan Pablo Picasso Cruz!) As a boarder with special needs, it was with some trepidation that I sought out a place to leave Pablo for the long weekend. But after meeting with the staff who felt very confident about their ability to take care of my diabetic dog, I breathed a sigh of relief and left Pablo to enjoy some time with the doggies. He had such a good time! I could tell because he came home well-adjusted and calm, not super-anxious or overtired. Its great to know there is a place he can stay where he’s not stuck in a crate, can have some fun with doggie-friends, and get the kind of care he’d get at home. Thanks Dog Stop!

Rico

I just wanted to take a moment to compliment the dog stop for my family member's stay. Rico came home yesterday all tuckered out from what had to be a super fun time! He has never returned home as happy and in high spirits as he did from your facility! I was so impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. While on vacation, my fiance called several times to check on our little guy and each time was greeted with a friendly, caring voice on the other end of the phone. We sincerely appreciate everything! Rico obviously loved it and if he could speak, he'd surely be telling us all about it!

Thank you for everything and we will see you soon for some day-care!
